Amelia's Stranded Adventure v0.3 Changes


Version 0.3 Succubus

Succubus added to the game that checks off all the remaining tags that this game will have: F/F/F, F/FF and size difference oral vore.  This is the first apex predator monster girl to be added to the game and she is considered very difficult.  Finding a way for Amelia to be willing won't be easy either.  Do you have what it takes to satisfy both of them?

New additions:

>>New Predator Info button can be found in game at the bottom of the screen.  Many hidden values are now visible in this window.  Game updates these stats every time the Predator Info button is pressed, so if you're curious how much values change with certain actions or passing of in-game time, feel free to click this button whenever you're curious.  Some tips below, or click the 'Info' button on this screen in-game for more information.

a. If you're looking to increase your Vigor and/or Technique, you can see which predators you haven't hit 100% with yet and seek them out.  

b. New fast travel available with each predator.  Need 50%+ relationship, not being chased by Apex predator, and in full control outside to be able to use.

-~This determines the distance between Amelia's current space and the home space of the selected predator then passes in-game time to travel (teleport) there.

-~If the selected predator is busy, Amelia will safely wait until they return home.  For Apex predators, this means when they return to their home space to sleep.  For Consensual Predators, if they are currently prey they will need to escape once their predator falls asleep and then travel back home.  This all passes in-game time in a quick series of diary entries.  This passing of time is important to make sure other events around the map continue to play out naturally instead of simply teleporting everyone around and making it a on-demand thing which could cause issues.

c. Relationship as a percentage.  Need certain percent relationship for various events to be available, and you can now see it here.  

>>New button added to the Help menu called 'Predator - Spoilers'.  Amelia as willing prey to Bear and Bunny Girl is pretty straight forward, but the solution to Succubus isn't as easy.  If you can't figure it out or don't want to, you can find out how Amelia can be willing to Succubus or any predator here, as well as other useful information.

>>Part oversight/bug: Due to clickable diaries, the ability to scroll the diary window with a mouse wheel only worked while hovering over the vertical slide bar.  Found some code that circumvents this and lets the mouse wheel scroll diaries while over the purple window.  Credit to 'kmeboe' here: https://forum.unity.com/threads/scroll-view-does-not-scroll-with-mousewheel-when...

>>Diary entries will now delete the oldest one once a certain amount is reached to help with memory, game speed, and organization.  Fewer diaries to scroll through means it's easier to find the one you want.

-~New option added in options screen that lets user determine how many diary entries can exist at one time between 10 and 50.  Default is 25.

>>Replaced Amelia's icon sprite used for the map.  New one is a properly inpainted version of the old one, meaning more detail added.

>>Part oversight/bug: Full screen preference was saved, but not used upon loading the game.  Now it is.  On computer, the game will still open in windowed mode while loading with the splash screen of the Unity logo, but once that's done and the game has had a chance to start up, if full screen preference is saved, it will switch to full screen by itself.

-~There is now a options button on the main menu.  Some checks applied to the loading of Options settings so it will only apply on game startup and if the options menu is opened and closed.  This reference to options added to the main menu allows the game to set up full screen right away instead of waiting for a file to be loaded.

-~Added a check during this check to possibly set full screen to see if the user's device is a Android one.  If it is Android, it is supposed to ignore this to avoid causing the game to go black screen.

--~In options screen, if user is on a Android device, pressing full screen button will not do anything as to avoid potential problems.  On top of this, if the game detects that the game is running on a Android device, the button will be deactivated and unable to be pressed.

>>Smudged the green and red backgrounds.  It's not perfect, but I think the lense flare look they had was a bit distracting and now it should be pretty hard to notice unless you're specifically looking for it.

>>Craft Bikini now opens up a new selection of buttons that allow different options.  Can check out 'Bikinis' page in 'Tip - Spoilers' of the Help screen for more information.  Unlocked ones will be able to be clicked, while faded out ones exist but need to be unlocked.  Try 'Hang Out' with Consensual Predators to unlock these.  More to come in the future.

>>New outside encounter options added to all Consensual Predators (bunny girl + all future ones): 'Hang Out' and 'Sleep'.  Both pass a significant amount of time safely.  Amelia needs to be awake a while to use 'Sleep', same check as all other sleep buttons in other situations.

-~When 'Offer Self' is available when interacting with Consensual Predator outside, it will always be clickable now.  Before there was a check to see if the Consensual Predator was willing to do it, but the old way didn't communicate that well why the button couldn't be clicked.  Now if you click 'Offer Self' but Consensual Predator doesn't want to, a diary entry will explain why.

>>New outside encounter option added to all Apex Predators: 'Wake Up'.  Allows Amelia to experience the encounter options normally available if the predator is awake instead of waiting for their sleep to end.

bug fixes:

>>The repeating disrupt event continued to plague v0.3.  After much testing I changed a few things to hopefully avoid this ever happening again unless I forget to transfer code to new predators properly.

>>Enum called freedomOfferType had improper check every hour for bunny girl to ask Amelia if she wanted freedom.  Every hour, it attempts to reset this enum to none assuming no freedomOfferType was assigned recently, and now if freedomOfferType is none, she will be allowed to ask.

-~If freedomOfferType is changed to anything but none, it is locked in until the menu that requires this check comes up and a option from it is selected.

>>Loading game now behaves similarly to Simple Load.  Before, there were a handful of references/variables that are specifically not saved, so it was possible while on the Game scene to load a game and have some of these references/variables not reset properly which caused seemingly random issues.  What Simple Load does is check if the current scene is Main Menu, and if it is not it will load Main Menu scene first.  After, it will load Game scene.  This reset of the scene is a easy way to reset these references/variables to their intended state.  Any issues going forward with things like this should simply mean I forgot to save a important variable and can narrow it down a lot quicker.

>>Amelia depressed state while in bunny girl was causing many issues, shocker.  Some problems include checks happening while the depressed event was ongoing so weird things like the bunny girl escaping the bear could occur among many other things.  A variable called downcast wasn't being reset properly since this new option for Amelia to be forced out while depressed wasn't fully accounted for and caused Amelia's drive to recover too rapidly to properly finish the event.  In bear, this resets correctly, I just didn't properly bring everything over to bunny girl logic.  Due to the way passing of time works while Amelia is depressed, it's very hard to put everything on pause probably because of poorly planned coding.  I tested this depressed state multiple times in various situations and had it come up as expected, but I have a feeling something was missed.  

>>Some checks added to prevent predator detection when Amelia is prey.  Most of these weren't game breaking, but if you had a moment where you clicked a button once and it did nothing then it did on the 2nd click, this detection was why.

>>Too many to count, but I would like to thank those who volunteered to tested the game.  I would've probably released this version a week ago with many bugs attached, but I am pretty confident in this version having very few issues because of their input.

balance:

>>Time required to rest reduced by 50% (random between 15-29 minutes)

>>Failing struggle/rub walls 3 times (not disrupted) in Apex and Consensual Predator will increase Vigor/Technique with that predator so bad luck will feel less punishing.

>>Sleeping now passively recovers 0.05 Drive per hour.

Known issues that are being ignored for now:

>>The image saved for a file can be a white square (nothing), or whatever the last image of Amelia outside after a recent escape is.  This is related to map images and how they're specifically ignored for the purposes of saving.  I don't have the code set up to easily save map images as they're just meant for slight variance while moving about the map.  Eventually 1 default image to say the player is on the map will be used.
