Amelia's Stranded Adventure v0.2 Changes
Update version 0.2
Bunny Girl added to the game that brings the introduction of F/F, ?/FF and ?/F/F interactions. This monster girl is the first consensual predator (look at in-game spoiler tips to know what that means if you don't want to find out yourself). Explained in the tips, but I'll also note here, consensual predators cannot be found on the map to begin with. They must be found while eaten by apex predators (just the bear in this version). Once you've met them in a stomach, they then become visible on the map and possible to interact with. It may sound like a arbitrary road block, but please understand when the game gets bigger that I don't want to overwhelm the player with too many options. I'm taking a guess with this, but when the game gets bigger and if I reconsider the necessity of this I may change my mind, but I'm confident in doing it this way right now. For now I don't want to spend time on circumventing this logic if I don't think it'll be used in the long run.
Various other things that aim to improve user experience:
>>Added many new tip pages, organizing some of the existing tips, to Spoiler Tips in Help screen. Also added headers to each page and gave each page a theme instead of just being an unorganized wall of text. Tips for Apex Predators, Consensual Predators, Vigor + Technique + Escape, Amelia as Willing Prey, Miscellaneous, and details about what content is in the current version. Can change spoiler tip pages with new buttons in the top right of the Help menu screen. Tips are created for long-term use, so although they may imply that there's more content than there currently is, in these early versions try not to read into it too much. Check the last page of spoiler tips to see all possible predators that can be interacted with.
>>More settings added for diary entries with the in-game Options menu. Can now change the font, size, and if it should be bold. If you'd like to suggest a different font, I can add it as long as the license for it is free and allows for any use without limitation.
-Added a toggle to show/hide images that show up while playing (not the preview images shown during save/load files screen though). For those who would rather play a text adventure.
-Added a toggle that will put the small image of Amelia eaten as the large image instead of showing the external of the predator.
-Added a in-game toggle for full screen or windowed mode. Keyboard shortcut (for Windows this is Alt+Enter) also works, but just incase some don't read this and don't know about the keyboard shortcut, they might notice it in the options menu and have the option.
--also changed the game to default to starting up in Windowed mode instead of Full Screen.

>>Added an Instructions/Tutorial page after clicking New Game on the main menu. This describes the basics of what's going on with the game and notifies user of the buttons at the bottom of the game that can be utilized.
>>Did some grammar and spelling fixes.
>>Removed all my personal notes I put in about text not being available or were repeating dialogue that got printed to the diary, users don't need their immersion broken. I added a "~" to the end of repeat dialogue that will eventually get new text which hopefully shouldn't be too distracting.
-In a effort to break immersion a different way, if a image cannot be found, it will be printed in the diary along with some information that the game is using to try and find the image. If you see one of these, please let me know about it!
>>Added a check to certain late diary entries so they will only get posted if Amelia is in full control. Had possible interruptions like during an escape that Amelia would suddenly have a thought about how long she's been stranded. That message will now wait until Amelia has full control either outside or as prey.
>>There shouldn't be any hidden buttons anymore. Instead, they will be faded out and unable to be clicked unless certain checks are met. This should hopefully encourage users to find all the content instead of simply not knowing about it.
Balance changes:
>>Increased the positive effects of Meditate and Brood by 50%. Time cost of Brood increased from 8-22 minutes to 12-33 minutes. First balance change!
Notable bug fixes:
>>Fixed 1 instance of Amelia becoming sad causing outside controls to turn on when prey controls are supposed to be on. Hopefully it fixed all problems with it.
>>'LateDiaryEntry' would submit images for saving in the wrong order, making loading a file sometimes load the incorrect images. I think it's mostly accounted for, but I may need to visit this again.
>>Hopefully got rid of Amelia detecting predator messages while in the process of interacting with one.
Known issues that are being ignored for now:
>>The image saved for a file can be a white square (nothing), or whatever the last image of Amelia outside after a recent escape is. This is related to map images and how they're specifically ignored for the purposes of saving. I don't have the code set up to easily save map images as they're just meant for slight variance while moving about the map. Eventually 1 default image to say the player is on the map will be used.
>>The effect Vigor and Technique have right now is pretty minimal, while predator mastery is king. When the game gets bigger, I'll have a better idea how these stats should be used, for now I don't want to spend too much time trying to balance it.
>>Predator relationship and other values being a hidden stat is not great. In a upcoming update I'll add a new menu that can be opened up for users to see predator-specific things like mastery and relationship status with predators that have been encountered before.
